03' rm250 clutch will not engage:

my 03' rm250 has a problem. when you hold the clutch in and step into gear it will stall. i pulled the basket and filed the groves, adjusted the cable to no end... and it still does this.
any help?

Did you recently put aftermarket clutch plates? I'm asking because I've heard of some aftermarket companies having replacement clutch plates that are too thick and makes the clutch assembly wider than the working range. That would make the clutch refuse to disengage.

Good point No Hand. I've experienced this before and will always buy OEM moving forward.
