Is the shifter locked or what?Defiantly sounds like a gear problem get big bucks ready or unload it.Never heard of some kind of clutch adjustment fixing a gear problem.

Well, if he fell, and the shift lever got hit, it can knock the shifter out of sequence with the shift star on the drum. Cheap, easy fix. You may have to remove the clutch basket to get to it. Or, listen to the originalrider and start ordering gears? Who said anything about adjusting the clutch, DWP? You can remove the gear shift shaft and see if the drum moves. You will have to remove all this stuff anyways, IF the problem is in the tranny.
Wow how stupid of me one of my buddies had a cr80 samething happened to him.spring on the end of the shift shaft fell off. The shift shaft is not turning the shift drum so it seems like it is stuck in gear.Probably have to split the case maybe not though depends if that is the problem.
When the 2 spring loaded detentes have issues is still another possibility. The shift shaft can pop out of alignment with the shifting drum. Most bikes, the clutch cover prevents it from popping out. A fall on the shifter can do this. If it was worked on, and not put back in proper sequence, it will seemingly be working, then nothing.
