You'll probobly get a ton of opinions on this one. Of all the motorcycle brands, stock is usually a high quality product. But I haven't had the best luck with Suzuki's pistons (ring locating-pin problems in our RM125). Never had a single issue with Wiseco...always dependable and long lasting for us.

Lighter, electra coated and single ring. The electra coating is probably be best feature of that the 808, no micro welding of the ring and the pin bore does not gall (you can slide the pin out even after the piston is ready for changing).

Good luck!

if you are running that wiseco, you will have to change the rings more often. Plus, i thought it had a taller crown, so that will change your port timing and compresion.

try the ProX 7130C- so far has worked really well for me.

What was the improvement with the ProX 7130C piston, what is the specification difference, is it a one or two ring piston. Thanks

ML, that ProX is the OEM piston, its just the C rating is matched up to the stated bore size in the suzuki manual. You can order the "C" piston from the the 03-05 YZ250, the part numbers are the same. its best to find a ProX dealer since the piston and rings are cheaper from them.
