If any of you out there has an 05 KTM 300EXC with the stock pipe and an IMS tank I need a picture of the clearance between the bottom of the tank and the exhaust pipe. This would be on the right side of the bike and just behind the shroud. Or if you cannot post a picture just measure it and post the clearance. I believe I have pushed my exhaust pipe back (stump, log, something) and it is now slowly melting a hole on the bottom of my tank.

Thanks,

Mully

Dang, I have no picture of the right side with the IMS tank on but I remember the problem on my 03 300.
Gnarley pipe and big tank, the two touched. I used adhesive foil insulating tape on the bottom of the tank and bent the pipe down all I dared, gaining about 4mm, then by hammering on an iron bar creased the top of the pipe slightly to gain a few more mm. It got hot but never melted the plastic. On my 03 bike the stock pipe had plenty of clearance, it was only the Gnarly that was a problem.
