looking to buy bigger bike.I looked at a 07 RM250 for 4000.But I don't know if 2 stoke is what i want.I got a cr125 right now which is fun but not enough gears.I'm turning 35 and feel that a 250 4 stroke might be the best for my old bones. What do you guys think of this bike?Is it a good deal,Idon't see any others arould here to compare.

Really nice bike IMO. Good torquey motor, superb handling. From '06 and up, the 250 motor is really well dialed in. But the abrupt power delivery (compared to a 250 4-stroke) makes them two very different animals. The 2-stroke will flat out run circles around the 4. I'll be 51 in a month, am just starting to think I may need to step into something a little tamer soon... it's wearing me out kinda quick. BUT... IMO the 2-stroke is WAY more fun. 35?... you can handle it easily if you're an experienced rider.

Agreed, 35 isn't too old for a 250 2t! You can always toss a flywheel weight on to tame the sharp power curve.

I have to say, 4k is quite high for an 07 though. I see them for around 3000.

Hell I'm 50 and still thrive on a 250 2 stroke. Maybe not like I used to but in my mind I'm a speed demon!

They are easier/cheaper to maintain and as said above, you can tune the hit. Even just a flywheel weight will make a huge difference.
