does anyone know if honda got rid of the dual exhaust for 2008 on the 250's? I was looking through twmx quickly at the grocery store and saw a pic of an 08 crf250 with a single exhaust.

I think the dual exhausts were a dumb idea, does anyone know the reason behind honda making them?

Unforunately, they kept it. It is loud and serves no purpose. Any a/m exhaust is rediculously expensive.

who knows, maybe it will be gone in 09. what do you guys think, you think they will eventually get rid of it or keep it? it needs to go but if they get rid of it, it would make them look kind of stupid.

Yes, you are wrong. I dont see them going back, it's not like it hurts anything. People are still buying them. Maybe next major design change.

Cus I went and looked at an 06 honda with dualys.
But then he decided not to sell... :|

And I like the duallys. Their not that much louder...
Pluss I would be using this motorcycle for closed course competition only, and I wouldn't plan on getting an aftermarket exhaust...

so you dont think they will change it back to a single exhaust until they have a major desing change? It will be interesting to see where they are at in a few years.

Mr. Rich has explained the benefits of dual exhaust on a 250f before.

They did it for a reason, it isn't there for looks.


I don't remember the exact reason given, but something along the lines of:

250fs are operating at a very high RPM, the dual exhaust flows better at these very high RPMs.
