12t sprocket on kx100?

my gf's 02 kx100 is currently geared 13-50. that works fine for easy trails and open stuff, but we'd like to gear it down considerably for a trip to idaho next month. i was just going to get a new 13-54 combo and a new chain from rocky mountain, but of course they're out of the 13's. i noticed they have 12t sprockets tho. i generally tend to prefer more teeth (for better wear on sprocket and sliders), but fer gosh sakes, the sprockets are only $6.99, so a 12t might be a nice option until they get the 13's in and then i can replace the whole drivetrain.

so, anyone running a 12t on a kx100? any problems with the chain dragging on anything or otherwise misbehaving? thanks.

I would think it would work on a KX100, since I ran one on my XR400 forever
