my kdx200 89 was stock with a 158 main and needle 3 clip from the top...wit stock pilot.bike runs perfect fouled a plug once in 4 years.
last week i putted a fmf pipe with a power core silenser and I removed theair box lid. my dealer recommended me to rejet.he sold me a 170 main and tell me to install it.he said all will be ok...
is this a good start to begin .how does sound to you...please any comments welcome
Currently have an FMF Fatty, ISDE S/A, FRP Torque ring, 607 reeds, (DFII with high tension reeds and high tension, gray stops, SUCKED) RB Carb & Head mods, Airbox lid removed
my kawasaki service manual says the stock main jet is a 158.
With what size of main jet should i begin experiment with my new modifications. (i want to be safe) i dont want to be to leaner.
thank you for inputs i can not wait to ride!
I would start with the fatter jet after the mods if it was me. I like to play safe. I ended up going up two main sizes after my pipe and mods. Follow the jetting procedure in the tech tips, be patient and you will be fine.
