my kdx200 89 was stock with a 158 main and needle 3 clip from the top...wit stock pilot.bike runs perfect fouled a plug once in 4 years.

last week i putted a fmf pipe with a power core silenser and I removed theair box lid. my dealer recommended me to rejet.he sold me a 170 main and tell me to install it.he said all will be ok...

is this a good start to begin .how does sound to you...please any comments welcome

Hey fellow Canadian, I have an older KDX250 running a 162.5 Main (stock) 170 seems a bit rich but at least you'll be safe in the experiment.

I have a '92 KDX 200

Stock main is a 150

I'm currently running a 148, 42, CEK

Currently have an FMF Fatty, ISDE S/A, FRP Torque ring, 607 reeds,
(DFII with high tension reeds and high tension, gray stops, SUCKED) RB Carb & Head mods, Airbox lid removed

my kawasaki service manual says the stock main jet is a 158.
With what size of main jet should i begin experiment with my new modifications. (i want to be safe) i dont want to be to leaner.
thank you for inputs i can not wait to ride!

I would start with the fatter jet after the mods if it was me. I like to play safe. I ended up going up two main sizes after my pipe and mods. Follow the jetting procedure in the tech tips, be patient and you will be fine.

I just looked it up.

The 89's came with a 158 while the '90 through 94's came with a 150 main

I'd do a plug chop to see where you are at.

No one can tell you what to put in it, well actually, they can and did, but they are most likely wrong
IMHO and all that :eek:
