I have seen alot of people post wanted adds for a 1979 kx 80's and was wondering why. Can someone tell me a little about this particular bike and why it is in such high demand thankyou!

I believe the '79 KX80 was Kawasaki's very first serious minicycle racer - it was low production and a trick bike for its time. Styling and features similar to the '78 KX125 and 250 which were limited production works inspired racers.

By '79, the YZ80 had been dominating the minicyle wars for about 4 years, with no serious competition. So the bright green KX was a site to see.

You are right Chili. I remembered the RM80 shortly after posting that.

There were a few years when the XR75 was obsolete and the YZ80 was the only game in town. The RM was a strong threat to the YZ80 and it certainly beat the KX to the market.
