i have a kx 125 1984 that wont start i took apart the carb and everything looks good exept the needle is alittle bent at the end would that be a big problem of it not starting. also im pretty sure the top end is fine it seems to have compression and i just got a new spark plug.alsothe only way ive gottin it to start is by bump starting.does anyone know wat the problem could be.

Sorry no one has replyed. You might want to trouble shoot considering the big picture! You need 3 elements to ensure that the motor will run, fuel, spark and compression.

Do you have fire? First thing to look for.
Do you have "fresh" fuel? The needle needs to be straight.
Is the compression within spec for you model?

It should cost you nothing but time to find these things out. No special toos required.
