What do you think a 1985 PW50 is worth now? It has a torn up seat cover, a few minor things that need to be replaced such as cables and tubes, and torn up plastics. Other than that it is in really good condition, the engine still runs strong and reliable. How much would you buy that for asuming you were going to buy it?

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it. $200 would be a great buy IMO. Have you shopped around at all? Look at Cycletrader.com for ideas.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I have an '02 CR80 Expert so it obviously wouldn't be my riding bike, I just want a pit bike that I can take apart and put back together. I know someone who is willing to sell for $275.

If it runs (and won't fall apart in a week or two) that ain't bad. I'd buy it.

I just bought an 84 that ran rough, had a decent seat and crappy plastic for $200. Had to clean the carb and that was about it.

I sold an '87 PW50 that ran real nice back in the fall of last year. Everything was in real good condition. Even so, I couldn't get $500 for it. Ended up selling it for $400, which included a second PW50 as a parts bike.

These bikes have hit rock bottom a decade ago. The 80-90 year PW's are only worth 200-400 tops.
