1986 KDX project

Just purchased a 1986 KDX 200 project. Needs a frame up rebuild. I am not planning on using the lights. Can the igniter box under the tank be eliminated and how should I wire the bike for spark only. Thanks

Yes as long as you can figuer out how to install a condensor and points!!

or are you converting it to steam power? where are you putting the coal box?

you need to keep the cdi and the coil the only wire you can cap off is the one for the lights.
