I need to replace the brass bushing on the rear brake drum. It's getting a little floppy, letting the brake shoes drag on the hub. I looked at the parts drawing and it looks like the normal thing to do is to buy a whole new brake drum. If I could find the brass bushing by it's self I could avoid buying the whole drum (if it's even available). Has anyone found a source for these bushings?

x2 on the machine shop, or if able do it yourself with a bushing from a bearing supplier.

I do agree that the local shop option is the best way to avoid buying a new hub, but
my local machine shop told me not to come back after I had one of his guys make some rear swingarm bushings for an old Husky. The owner said he can't charge enough compared to what he needs to make. Dang, I wish I had a lathe!

Todd36, you've got mail!

Thanks!

I gotta say thanks. My bike is fixed and I'm very happy with the way it turned out. I would recommend Todd36's work for anyone with similar needs.
