I'm looking for a stock carb assembly for my 1988 KDX200 and not having any luck (new is expensive). Do I HAVE to get the stock carb assembly, or is there another carb assembly I bolt on and setup?
Have you looked at ebay?
Do a search at ebay on "KDX"
In less than a minute I found a complete carb and throttle assembly for a '91 with a starting bid of $19
After more research and a few phone calls, I've learned a little. It appears that the carb is a Keihin PWK 35mm, and that a lot of KDX models use this same carb. So I'm assuming (and being told), that I should be shopping for the PWK-35, since there are no differences no matter what it's going on. Also, the PWK-35 AS (Air Striker) is a bolt on replacement updgrade, no modifications needed and is used on the newer model bikes instead of the PWK-35.
