Hi,

I took my front forks off the bike to service them and change the springs. They were really hard to get off the upper triple clamps. I had to use a rubber mallet to get them off.

I'm attempting to put my front forks back and i'm struggling. they don't wanna go in. It almost look like the diameter of the clamp is about 0.5mm smaller than the diameter of the forks. any advice?

also, what distance should be between the top of the top triple clamp and the cap/top of the forks? (how many mm is standard?)

thanks

Sometimes you have to spread the triple clamp apart at the pinch area with a flat blade screwdriver. be careful not to go to far or scratch the fork when sliding it in.
Sometimes when they are real difficult to get in the clamp is bent.
