1996 kx 80 Clutch cover

Hello all,

I recently picked up a kx 80 for my son and it has a cracked clutch/water pump cover. This is a one piece cover and I am having a hard time finding a used one. My question is will the 2 piece cover off of a 99 kx 80 fit? They look identical besides the fact the newer is in two pieces.

Have the cracked cover welded. I have a Scorpa SY250 (Yamaha engine) that the clutch cover has been welded. No leaks and probably just as hard to find.

I had trouble finding someone to weld aluminum. I did find out that the 98 and newer models have a power valve and those covers will not fit. I managed to jb weld it for now just so I can continue working on the bike and I will watch ebay until I find one at a decent price.
