Hello i got a 96 rm 250 bought a couple months ago runs great dont know previous owner ran premix or ratio but had completley stock except for fmf turbine core 2 silencer thats it. so i began to use maxima 927 sythetic premix at 32:1 and ran ok alot of smoke / lots of spooge/ bogs somewhat . Now i recently changed to maxima Super M premix sythetic at 32:1 and smokes less but still alot of spooge and now spills alot fuel from breather tube everytime fuel cockpit is on . what could be wrong should my ratio should be leaner 40 to 1 since sythetic ?//
should i rejet "dont want to"??
should i clean carb??? "did that all clean"
How should i adjust the fuel air screw? where to ??
What should i do and specs for the bike dont have the manual
i run at kinda high altitude level and the bike has only fouled 3 plugs :bang: :bang: :bang:

Step 1- GET A MANUAL

Step 2- RUN WHATEVER RATIO THE MANUAL SAYS

Step 3- THOROUGHLY CLEAN THE CARB/SET FLOAT HEIGHT

Step 4- REPACK THE SILENCER

Step 5- CLEAN THE AIR FILTER

Step 6- JET THE CARB

Do the steps listed above.

The gas leak is because of the float... if there's spooge, bogging, and it's fouling plugs then the jetting is too rich. Changing the fuel ratio and type of oil could reduce the amount of smoke, but it won't fix those problems.

Find a manual and you can get it all squared away pretty quick.
