1997 Rm250

Any body have experience with 1997 RM250's? I would like to know your opinion of this bike. Looking for a winter project and found a bike very cheap. Any help will be appreciated.

First 2 wheeler I ever owned. I bought it used 3 years ago. The only thing I didnt like was the front end nervousness in the desert. Other than that the bike was very reliable and fun.

A popular magazine claimed that it was spectacular but somehow the rear end suspension got goofed up.
98 rm250 was very slow it states too.

very reliable bike, smooth power no sudden hit, suspention was allright for the riding i did, overall great bike.

I have two 97s, and they are nice smooth riders. One is set for woods, and one the track. No big hit, and suspension is smooth. They are a couple of the most stress free bikes, that when ridden, are effortless, and trusty. The reversed fork sliders cause some riders to not like them, but it never bothered me. They do require a few extra kicks to start cold, but whogivesaflip.
