2 cycle oil

Hi im new here, but love the site its wealth of info.
I presently own a KDX220 YR 2000, I am presently running Motul 800 as the premix at 40/1. But im able to purchase Yamaha 2-r for a good price. Is this a good oil to run, any feedback would be helpful. Thanks

I use Redline synthetic race @ 40:1. There are alot of other opinions here, but I think any quality brand name and synthetic is good to go.

for what it's worth, I used yamalube-R for 2 years at 50:1/ then two years at 32:1, with no problems but some residue at teardown. Read the label as Yamaha has some injetor oil with a similar name, you probably shouldn't use the injector oil. It seems like synthetic leaves less residue in your powervalves.
