2 stroke header repair

Hey, i heard from a friend that a way to get rid of any dents on a 2 stroke header (front pipe) was to take it off the bike and put water in it and cover both ends and put it in a freezer. Could any of you guys tell me if this is true, i don't think it is but just incase would save me buying a new pipe lol

Its true. The past discussions have leaned to heat and a little pressure working best, for most. I like the freezer, but not on stamped oem expansion chambers. Single digits outside, a free chill! Try a search on this site, its been around a couple of times. Vintage Bob
