Hi I was wondering for my 98 Cr250r when I should rebuild it, I bought it used and I don't really know how many hours on it. If I were to guess I would say the rebuild has just been recent due to it still having alot of power, throttle response and good compression. Is there any signs of when to rebuild them, should I rebuild now to be safe?
Thanks

Basicaly when you loose compression and have low power and it takes a lot to start it is rebuild time.

do a compression test.

How much PSI do ya have..
And how long will it hold that PSI? (give or take a few PSI)

2 strokes dont hold compression. There are no valves to hold it in.

If you have 120 bucks and 2 to 4 hours just do it. It may end up being like new when you change it, and that can be a bummer.

Otherwise ride it till it makes a funny noise, heats up or looses power. Sometimes its pay now or pay later.
