2000 KX 250 motor question

I have a '00 KX 250 that is in need of a new crank and crank bearings. I know where a '02 bottom end is and was wondering if that would work with my '00 top end? What year motors will work in a '00 frame? Thanks for any info!

The bottom-end is basically the same. It has been for about the last 12 years or so.
