Any dirt bike more than a year old , and has screwy jetting issues, replace the float valve. When would you think a leaky bottom end would effect more, idle or top end? The right seal and/or base gasket could be suspect. Where is your choke knob adjusted to? Where is your air screw adjusted to? That gem has a solenoid and power jet also. But, it idled fine before? Pull started by a quad smells like a flooded engine. Does it feel like it has compression?

I'm about to rebuild my 98 RM125 motor. Hope I don't have the same problem. Please keep us updated as to the problem (once you figure it out, that is).
