2000 YZ125 Question.......

On a YZ125, if I were to replace the shift shaft, would I be able to do it by removing the right side case cover or would I have to split the cases?

Also, the oil seal for the shift shaft is leaking. At first I thought it was the countershaft seal, but it appears to be the shift shaft. Can I remove and replace the seal without splitting the cases?

My 12 year old cousin just got the bike 3 days ago, and it's already developing problems. Poor little guy.

Use a flat screwdriver to pop out the old seal. Place it between the shaft and the seal and use it like a lever.

Is this a valid option for a 2000 CR250?

I'm leaking oil aroung the shift shaft. Ordered a new seal, really don't want to split the cases. :bang:
