THIS IS MY FIRST BIKE AND I BOUGHT IT NEW IN 2002. AFTER LEARNING TO RIDE FOR A COUPLE YEARS, I'M FINALLY LOOKING FOR MORE POWER. ALL THE SPEC SHEETS SAY THE STOCK MAIN SHOULD BE A 160 BUT I PULLED MINE AND ITS A 135RD. I'M CONFUSED AND NEED A LITTLE INSIGHT. :ugg:
I CALLED MY DEALER THIS THIS MORNING AND THEY TOLD ME THEY ALWAYS REJET DURING THE PDI. I DO ALL MY RIDING IN THE MOUNTAINS WEST OF CALGARY ALBERTA AND THIS IS THE SET UP THAT THEY RECOMMEND. I GUESS I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE MY DEALER WENT THE EXTRA MILE. :clue:
OK. Kudos to the Dealer. But if he jetted it with the air box cover stock, I'd bet the barn the bike is dangerously lean at WOT now with the lid removed.
If the stock needle is in the stock clip, I would be suspect of their jetting poweress.
I AGREE. MY DEALER JETTED A STOCK BIKE FOR MY RIDING CONDITIONS. I PULLED THE AIRBOX LID AT THE SAME TIME I CHECKED THE JET. I'M NOT CONFUSED ABOUT THE JETTING PROCESS ONLY THE FACT THAT I'VE NEVER SEEN A BIKE REJETTED DURING A PDI AS STANDARD PROCEDURE. YOUR RIGHT KUDOS TO PRO AM IN CALGARY. FUTURE MODS (AIRBOX INCLUDED) WILL NEED REJETTING. THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT :thumb:
