I know this topic is old and I have read every thread concerning this. I compiled all the info I could to come to these conclusions. I just got these forks and they had .35 springs. The midvalve and base valve had not been touched. I would like Marcus or Terry or Steve or of course JW, or anyone that knows to reply.
Riding terrain is not MX, but a large mix of fast sandy deep whoops to some rocky terrain enduro racing. I don't want a super plush ride for rocks as much as I want it more towards the whoops. I don't want to have the mid-stoke spike as mentioned in past threads but neither do I want them to shoot through the travel.
I am 195 with gear
springs should be .44 kg
remove bladder
remove RB
remove white plastic seal band at top of bladder
remove all but 4 of the 24's in the base valve
5 wt at 100mm - 120mm
Does this sound like a legitimate place to start?

Thanks Marcus,

Somewhere there was mention of creating the lift effect on an O-ring MV by using a small dia. shim on the face.
I am considering putting a 16 bleed shim on the BV before the 4 24's to help on sharp edge bumps. Has anyone tried this?

Thank you
