Hi i have a problem with my brothers yz 125,the bike was used for 20 -30 minutes and then when we stopped it would go into gear only first gear.
Then we checked the gear oil,NO Gear oil at this point we added the gear oil and started to see if it would go.
It started after he bump started it and was changing gears fine, but the clutch would not work,it was like a runaway clutch when you pulled the clutch in the bike kept running. After 10-15 minutes of riding a large noise came from the bike banging noise as he heard it.the bike totally locked up with no gears availble so needs repair.Does anyone no by the sounds of this what is wrong, would it be plates ,basket?im not sure would need some pointers.

since it didnt have lube it probably heated up so much it basicly melted the clutch plates together and sounds like something major broke and she is trash. split the cases and check it out

that sucks. A new bike shouldnt be doing that. Sounds like they got real hot, then they just snapped. Thats gonna take a little more than pocket change to fix. good luck
