PLEASE HELP!!
I have recently purchased a 2001 yz250, the pic was leaking oil out of the crack circled in the pictures shown, when i bought the bike the crack was sealed with a rubber sealant but eventually started to leak through as i noticed it more. I took the rubber sealant off and now there is a big crack that doesn't look like its supposed to be there, i have went through multiple parts diagram pages and cant find anything that makes sense to me. It looks to me like there should be a rubber or metal gasket in-between that crack to stop the leakage.

That is your power valve.
It appears you are missing the rubber gasket shown in the first picture.
The other gasket is used on the flat part of the cover.
Google 2001 yz250 power valve assembly and look at the images.

Also, that "oil" is spooge.. Burnt 2 stroke oil. It's just a fact you're going to have to live with unless you master the fine art of jetting right on the ragged edge.
