I recently took off my carb and reeds to inspect the reeds for damage. When I put my bike together again it wouldn't start. I cleaned the carb with carb cleaner but didn't take it apart. It ran fine before any of this. I have spark, and air flow so I must not be getting fuel.

I took off the carb again and took it apart. The float isn't sticking, and as far as I can tell nothing is blocked. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could do next?

Thanks

I should learn never to touch my bike when it doesn't have a problem.

Lean the bike over on its side-see if petrol comes out the vent tubes-if not you have a needle seat blockage under the float.

marcus,
thanks
I did that and gas does flow out, does this mean there is no blockage in the carb and I should look elsewhere for a problem

Could have lodged something in the choke circuit during disasembly or reasembly, lie the bike on its left side for 30 seconds, then pick it up and kick it.. That should throw a little extra gas in there and it'll fire right up if thats the prob...
