2002 CR250 power valve

2002 CR250 power valve stuck

Two part question:

1. I can't get the power valve out! Just put the first set of rings in and could not get the power valve out to clean it. YES I REMOVED THE STOP PLATE. I loosend up the carbon with carb cleaner and tried everything short of breaking it, and could not pull out the power valve rod. HELP!

2. Not much in the manual about adjusting the cables on the RC valve. Since one side is spring loaded to keep tension, it doesn't seem to matter how it's adjusted, that is, adjusting doesn't do anything. Agree or disagree?

Any advice would be appreciated...

Still have a major issue with getting the rod out in order to remove the flappers for proper cleaning. I don't see any reason it won't pull out. Anyone have any ideas? :ugg:
