It's stock, except I pulled out the intake silencer and it bogs when you crack the throttle from idle while in neutral. I raised the clip one notch leaner on the needle and the bike runs "better" overall, but still does this. Should I have lowered the clip one pos. to make it richer since I am allowing more air into the carb???

The general rule of thumb is to go richer when you make the intake less restricted, but the best way to find out if that's right in your case is to try it. You might find the best solution is to put the silencer back in.

Oh, and you might find it easier to feel how the changes you make affect the bike by riding in 3rd or 4th on level ground. Just watch where you're going!

My wife's '03 runs better with the clip at 2nd. from bottom. Stock was 3rd. Only mod is a big gun exhaust, which made it way lean.It starts alot easier when hot now also!
