2003 Rm250 cylinder

Can you upgrade the cylinder on a 2003 rm250 to a newer year like a 04' or 05'?I need to replate my cylinder soon and was thinking if you can upgrade to a newer cylinder or do you have to change alot of things like powervalve,etc....Just asking if anybody heard of such a thing with the RM's.

I realize "advice" is a is much more needed than an "opinion" here...but I'll give it a shot.
1 Suzy made big changes to cyl. in 03...only refinements since...
2 Each year since, porting mods., and power valve mods. Head mods.?
3 If scavenging ports are the same (going into cases) I'd think you'd be ok.
4 May need to change entire power valve assembly. (quite pricey)
Call Varner Motorsports... did all of GNCC Suzuki's motor work...he will know. My '03 was redone by him, porting and head work...made bike much more jetting and power delivery friendly, while increasing torque and power. Good luck...
