Thanks for the schedule, Mike!
I really wish we could have gotten a June date for our enduro (Loose Moose). An ISDE qualifier got scheduled for the date we were hoping for... we had hoped to get the Ohio Enduro date, since it wasn't going to be a National in 2004... AMA scheduling is a nightmare, with GNCC's and Hare Scrambles competing for dates too; it may have given the D14 schedule a little more latitude if we could have gotten a June date!

:( Two FULL months between enduros (4/18 Roselawn and 7/18 Marquette). Then, NO rest during the HOTTEST time of the year -- 4 weekends in a row in August! Really is a tough schedule (especially for me) logistically.

I was hoping to hit the D14 events AND the National Events, but I 'm gonna rethink that idea with all the back to back races in August. At any rate, I'll be at the D14 events, toe willing! ;)

It sure messes up the month of August. It really is spaced out. I need to work on hot weather training. Maybe a trip to the Tropics to train, any suggestions?

Don,

There was a lot of discussion about the schedule in August.  Originally, the second Roselawn event was suppose to be the same weekend as the Harrison race.  They agreed to change dates, but did not want to have the event in July or September.

Training???  You could go to Florida and ride the Alligator Enduro.

I'm no math major, but that's 3 months between enduros in the spring, then 3 back-to-back in August (4 if running nationals!). Once a year was plenty for me! And Magoo... Remember it's either a Vicodin OR a Percodan, not both at once! ;)

Training Tip for Don: Wear a 1/4" full-body wet suit under your jersey. It'll get you used to hot weather! Hey, when's that '04 coming in? At least you won't be working up a sweat kicking your bike over.

Mike- Still trying to work on permission to do the National in AZ, if I say that I am going to Florida I may get my hall pass revoked!

Bill - Thanks for the tip. I think that if I wore something like that I would end up with a bad case of Baboon Body & no vaseiline. Just stopped at the dealer to pick up parts & was told it is shipped hopefully this week!

I will definitely be at the Loose/Mini Moose and Jack Pine/Pine Cone events.

Family obligations preclude me from running the whole series, taking home the big trophies, and kissing all the pit tootsies.... I will have to race vicariously through you.

By the time all my kids get through college, I will be much like Young Ted, but riding the vintage series as part of KOG... (KDX Owners Group).

;)

Being up in Yooperville, maybe you guys have some longer days due to the summer solstice?

Down here under the bridge we get a full 3 months between enduros.

Alrighty then, I'm officially soliciting sponsors to help support my effort in contesting the D-14 Enduro C-Senior class championship!

I will pay for all travel, bike expenses, gas, accessories, gear, entry fees, medical bills, and provide my own support vehicle and tools. I will represent you and/or your company proudly and professionally. I will make myself readily available to the fans. I will be available for product and company endorsements.

What I am looking for a sponsor to provide in return:

1) A personal nanny for my 2 young daughters while I am out of town. Should be able to cook, clean, mediate disputes, and wipe butts on occasion. Experience playing "CandyLand" helpful. Mary Poppins look-a-likes a plus.

2) Entertainment/companionship escort for the wife while I am out of town. Duties include engaging in stimulating adult conversation, yardwork, housework, handyman projects, and child-rearing. Dancing and dining experience a plus. Smokers, Men, and Butch women need not apply.

Where should I send my resume?

Let me see... a couple of additional "daughters" - no big deal.  I have two already.

Another adult woman ---NO WAY!!!!

Sorry Smit Dog.  I will give you what ever help I can AT the races, but I can not assist with the "sponsorship".  Maybe Lenny from EE could help you.
