my dad is wanting a kawasaki or suzuki 250f soon( after he buys my mom new bedroom furniture ;) ) ive been reading alot about the differences between the 05' and 06' kx250f, and my dad was wanting a bike anywhere between 04'-06'. what are the main differences between these bikes since kawasaki and suzuki severed their company bond for the 06' and up 250f's and 450f's? are they still together for the 250 smokers? in your opinion, what will be the best 250f for 06'? by the way, my dad is ( youve all seen this) 6' even, 185lbs., and 31 y/o. he owned a kawi 175 smoker when he was 14 y/o, and that was his last bike( till this summer ;) :aj: ). he can ride my 00' kx 125 around at TNT fine. thanx for any info. regarding my questions.

Kawasaki and Suzuki never collaberated on their 250 two-strokes. If he's stuck on a Kawi or Suzuki, I'd suggest an 06. The 04 and 05 RMZ/KXF250 had overheating issues which fried a lot of the motors. That said, a girl at my local track had an 04 RMZ250 that ran perfect. It did have a Pro Circuit waterpump cover since new that cured overheating issues. I'd still be inclined towards a new bike.
