Maybe a cool bike but not as cool as a factory recognized model by Honda. Also you might not realize just how many of these bikes Service really puts out there. I've talked to AJ on weeks when he has multiple bikes getting shipped out all over the world. Besides keeping it all Honda with the best pieces to choose from is pretty cool.

boring out to 300cc isnt etfective on the Hondas.,
(powervalve issues)

there are complete cylinder kits fdor it though,
and a few years ago IMS made wide ratio trans for it,, not sure if they are still availble,,
but i have been looking into both those options ;)

ive had a hard time finding a happy-medium on bikes, including a couple of Service Hondas. The 500 is nice, but just too much for technical trails. The 300xc is ok, but it just revs weird, it doesnt pull as hard as a 250sx even.
does service honda plan on making anything in between? like a 400?
the crf450r is perfect, but i just desire the two stroke engine more.

Well it's green.... :)

I think the KX was known to have an easier to manage power delivery down low since it has a power valve which the red 500 lacks.

Does an IMS/Clarke tank fit on that ride?

The Clarke tank will fit,, as well as an IMS..
it has the X tank,, so has a bit more capacity than a CRF- R ..

the regular oversized clarke is only going to gain a few ounces over the stock X tank,,but both C;larke and IMS have even larger sizes for those needing them
