I am looking into purchasing a KTM 200. What are the differences between the exc & mxc models? Are there any changes in the models between the 1999, 2000, 2001, & 2002 models? I might be able to pick up a leftover 00' or 01' at a good price. Also, does anyone know what kind of warranty comes on a new bike? I checked their website and couldn't find any info. Thanks in advance for any help. Tom:confused:

6 MONTH WARRENTY 99'S HAVE STANDARD FORKS
00-01 HAVE USD FORKS
99-00 HAVE BLACK TANKS
01 HAS THE CLEAR TANK
MXC IS MORE LIKE AN MXER FOR WOODS AND MX
EXC WIDE RATIO TRANNY
SOFFTER SUSPENSON
HEAVYER FLY WHEEL
HEAD LITE AND TAIL LITE
BETTER FOR WOODS

Tom, I have been looking into the 200exc. Great bike. I 've yet to see anyone not love theirs. I have the 250exc and love it. I am 6'and 190 and it is a great off road machine. The 200 is probably better for anyone smaller. Don't think you'll find left overs. They were sold out here in July. Used or newmay be found this time of year.

I believe the MXC and EXC have the same flywheel and even lighting coil, just a little stiffer suspension and close ratio trans on teh MXC, and of course no lights and SX rear fender.

Gardner is correct. It's such a common misconception that the MXC has a stiffer suspension. I think some of the early DB articles spread that false information.
