Grant,

I may have mislead you. Dan Reed now says he may ride A rather than M (he's pussin too).

Well I cant win either way, my numbers are the wrong color for the A class, and I didnt finish top 12 in the 3 hour overall score last year to be invited into the M class this year, so I will break a rule either way. :nener:

Well you could always ask the club to check out your number plates before you hand them your money and let them decide. Seems kinda senseless to me considering that the bar code readers accurately score each rider through the chutes anyway. A slice of duct tape across it with an "A" written on it would seem less legible.

yes thats true but from what i read on the harescrambles site there not going to use barcodes next year but rather transponders

" Expert class - Letter: “M” Expert Class; open displacement, Top 10 Riders previous year; open"

* 10.... not 12.

I was told it was something you had to earn.

anyone can run M class but if your top ten overall you HAVE to run M. If you are top 10 and chose not to run M then you can run any two hour class or team but no other 3 hour class

Wouldn't you either have to run "E" class in 2 hr unless you are a 50 YO M rider and then you can run SS?

If a 50 yr old rider, who placed in the top ten in the three hour overall from the previous year, was going to race the two hour class....he would only be elligible to run in the E class.

Anyone can sign up for the M class....but once you do, you're in it for the year, unless you race in team (H) or two hour (E). You cannot go from an "A" or "B" 3 hour class-to M class-then back to an "A" or "B" class in the same season. A rider can change from season to season, however, if they do not place in the top ten overall. The only people that must be in M class (as Shaggy said) are the top ten overall three hour riders from the previous season.

I thought the reasons for the rule were pretty clear, but I guess they don't make sense to some folks. Oh well. Rules never make sense to everyone, right?

It's important for the folks in scoring to be able to follow who the leader is. The club volunteers aren't always familiar with the riders and their bikes to be able to ID them as they're approaching scoring. The red number plates help them to follow the leaders so that they can throw the white flag at the right time. It has helped. The OMA and GNCC series do the same thing, because it helps. I guess they don't make sense either?

I thought I was asking legitimate questions Mark, but thanks again for the personal attacks.

No personal attacks there bud. I thought the rule makes sense....and you don't. That doesn't mean that neither of us are right nor wrong dude. You disagree with the rule, or don't see the validity. I helped right the rule, and see where it helps the clubs and some of the other people involved. We can agree to disagree and not be dissing, can't we?

Sorry Fred.

It is the cross bar pad for FLEXX bars.

I have tried the red spring, you need to try the green spring so you at least have an idea of what you are talking about. With a FMF gnarly pipe, a shorty silencer and 300 cc's my bike is an awesome ride ( the 07 sure is, I have not ridden the 2010 yet). You on the other hand have 250 cc's, a restrictive spark arrester and a bunch of other crap (skid plate) on your bike. You might need the PV open just to get the bike to move. :nener:

Fred-o

Why did you buy a 300 if you are scared of it? Let her eat!!! My two-fiddy RIPS dude-red spring is where it's at. :nener:

You are going to LOVE that XC suspension. They seem to work best with less rear sag than your 07 BTW.

Freddy,

You are talking trash. From what I gather you wuss boys are scared of the green spring because you are afraid of the hit coming later. Once again, you have not tried the green spring so you do not know what it is you are discussing. I have used both the green and red spring. I like the red spring for some MX track only. For HS, Enduro or tight trial The green spring is my preference by a long shot.

I honesty am trying to help as I slap you up a bit. Put the green spring on, take off some enduro junk, lose the water bottle and lay off the cheese burgers. You will be amazed at how well the bike rides. Do you really want to "rip" from corner to corner in the woods?. You will go faster and save energy with a smoother ride. If ripping in the woods is your style, I think you should just stick with the 200.

I am going to ride it first to make sure it is the correct shock spring for me, then I may coat it.

My bike is not as cool as I had hoped, but it is unique and looks clean (not pasted w/all kinds of logo's and stuff).
