The compression on my 220r seems a little weak and it probably needs top end work. Is the stock cylinder plated? Can I get away with just rings? Is there a high compression piston kit on the market for the 220r?

Thanks,

If you are running the stock piston I suggest you get a Wiseco piston kit for it. The stockers have been known to crack from time to time, not on every bike but more than is common with the 200's or any other bike for that matter. I put one in my 220 when I had it.

I haven't checked the numbers but I can stoke the kickstarter very easily by hand and the previous owner said he can't remember the last time or if it ever got freshened.

I might put the gage on it this afternoon.
