Hey guys, to any that can help. After reading a good number of threads on 240 big bore mods and hearing that your bike's top end is basically non existent. I was wondering is there any mod. that can help your top end improve. I also had my 98 kdx 200 bored to a 240 cc. and was wondering if anyone had any luck in this area. I feel like i made a mistake by doing this, but maybe not. Also, should i use my stock carb. or get that done by rb-designs. I have a gnarly woods pipe w a turbine core 2 silencer. boysen power reeds. air box removed, and thats about it for right now. Also, any advice to improve gas mileage, or would that be taken care of with proper jetting.

Thanks Cyrus

The main reason you lose top end with a big bore is lack of high speed breathing, original porting probably isn't going to feed 240cc's, Carby would need to be 36-38mm and I assume a gnarly pipe is for bottom end so a shorter pipe would help. Normally you go big bore for bottom end and airflow mod's for top end.
