250 Two stroke or 450 four stroke

3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ?????MX with a little free riding in between
4) Do you have any riding experience?2 years rm125 and 2 years on a 85 before that
5) Do you think you will race ?yeah
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work?yeah friend has a mechanic so he does work for cheap and does a great jon
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)?RM250 or RMZ450 Like suzuki thats all ive rode.
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry? All of em
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike?Sold my rm for 2 so can finance something
10) Do you live in California?yeah best tracks are around here

12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion had a yz250f, didnt really like the power and the reliability of a 250f

you gotta go with the 2 stroke
preferably the kx 250 or rm 250
i've tried both the 450 4 stroke and the 250 2 stroke and i hated the 4 stroke
it was horrible
it would never start
and it was just heavy and not near as fun to ride
i will never waste money on a 4 stroke again they are junk!!!!
the 2 stroke is the way to go
it's quicker and lighter
and it has
way less maintenance
way less money
way more fun!!!

Friend has an 05 yz250 bored out to like 271 or somthing. looks pretty sweet
