I was wondering abo9ut a 428 chain kit for my kx100. Is it really that necisarry. What does it do. Do I just add a 428 chain or do i need new sprockets too?
Well, I don't think it is necessary. I have a kx 100 with a 420, and I have ridden a friends 100 with a 428. you can't tell a difference. if you do change to a 428, you have to change the chain and sprockets.
It is an easy change over, both Renthal and Sproket Specialists make a conversion kit. The major advantage is that the chain will not stretch near as much and it adds a little more reliability for off-road riding.
