just got my sons bike running again,but it burbles till its really on the pipe.I can see I need to reset the float level,but could this be the problem or should I look elswhere? thanx, danno

I had a 82 that never ran right till the end of the season that I figured out it was the stator.Your problem is probaby something else though

Do we have good compression? Good plug? What type of oil? Mix ratio? I had one of those and it ran well. Is the carb clean?

Thanx,after all the trouble with the electrics,I ordered new stator,cdi,coil.its good to go now.thanx again,danno

Yep, now that you mention it, my buddy had to replace the stator on his 81 RM125 because of the same problem.
