I own a 86 xr 250R and the suspension seems to soft can I get get work done to an older XR like stiffer springs or revalving. Do they offer these things for older bikes?
I have an '87 XR250 and was looking for stiffer suspension also. I happened to luck into a set of '85 XR 350 forks and rear shock. The forks bolted right on and the shock just needed the top milled down slightly (about 3/16") to fit in the frame bracket. What a difference! So while youre researching a new spring, keep your eyes open for an old xr350. Good luck.
