Hi all,

I was hoping that someone may be able to assist with another boring jetting question. Hopefully this one may be more challenging as it relates to a KDX200SR (or 'F' model as we refer to in Aust).

The carb on this bike is the Keihin PE28 and standard settings are:
Main Jet=122, Throttle Cutaway=6.0, Needle=N68K - not sure if this is a Kwaka or Keihin part no, Clip postition=3rd from top, Pilot jet=45

So far so good.........

The bike has the following bolt on mods:
Pro Circuit pipe and silencer, removed airbox lid, probably Boyesen reeds by the time I finish this. Oh and it also runs a Wiseco sleeve and piston (standard size).

Does anyone have initial jetting suggestions or experience with this carb or similar mods? Temperature is normally around 20 degrees C and altitude is usually around 1000 ft but regularly goes up to 6000.

Also, does anyone know whether the jets (pilot and main) from an FCR carb will fit?

Thanks.

You are running the same jetting as I am. I have just leaned down from the standard 125 main jet to a 122.

JPM,

Do you have an aftermarket expansion chamber on your KDX?

Do most people find when they fit an pipe that they need to lean their jetting?

Fibb,

My expansion chamber has had the lining removed. My silencer has the internals replaced with a perforated straight through pipe.

Thanks JPM,

At least that gives me an idea on what jets to buy as a start.
