93 kx 125 KIPS is it the same as KDX KIPS

I bought a 93 kx 125 it seems to have very little
power on the bottom. At the very of the revs I can feel
a power band kick in. Seems to kick in very late
Also this bike has no where near the bottom end that my kdx
has. Is this normal for a 125? How do I check the KIPS if it
has IT?

125's are supposed to have little bottom end, they rev fast and high. The KIPS is indeed simliar, if not the same. Remove the right hand PV cover and the pipe, move the actuator with your hand while looking up the port to see if the valves move.

SMB-Thanks for the info. If they move could I still have a problem
with my actuator not moving them. Can this be check as well?

it's possible I suppose, you could remove the cover but not the pipe, start the bike and watch while you blip the throttle to see if the governor in the bottom end is pulling the linkage.
