I have a 96 honda xr100 that was smoking quite a bit so I'm I'm trying to tear down the top end.

The manual says that cylinder removal can be done with the engine in the frame. To me, it appears that there isn't enough clearance.

Anyone have any experience with this? I'm pretty damn sure it's not going to work. Also, any other top end advice on this bike would be helpful. I just bought this bike and it's my first top end on one of these. Thanks!

I just got done rebuilding a 94 xr 200, you can rebuild it without removeing the engine, but you have to take all the mounting bolts out so you can lean the engine over to pull the head and cylinder off. if you need anyother help e-mail me at [email protected].
