98 cr250 rebuild questions

i just traded an xbox 360 for a 98 cr 250 with a blown top end the cylinder has a pretty deep scratch in it im wondering if its to deep to repair i took pics but my camera sucks at closeups but you can tell its signifacant damage. im thinking about getting it sleeved but heard some negative stuff about doing that. any suggestions? id also like to know about the bike overall,ive heard these bikes are pretty fast. my last bike was an 01 rm 250 jetted and piped.

im also wondering about the carb is it ok to soak it in some cleaner and water first - then clean it with carb cleaner?

Even if you have to re-sleeve, bore, or even buy a new jug...I think your coming out on top.... XBox360, what is that, like 300 bucks? If indeed that is the only significant thing wrong. Never know what's going on "down there".....

my xbox was the elite model i think they are going for 450 now but i had 4 games and 2 controllers i figure like 7 or 800 all together but id probably only get around 600 or so on ebay. ive taken almost the whole bike apart but havent opened up the engine yet the crank turns freely so thats a bit of a good sign i guess im hoping i can get away with just replacing all the bearings on the bottom end.

lol ill keep it - yea im in the process of fixing it now im taking it apart completely and replacing whatever needs replacing oh and im gonna polish certain parts with my bench grinder after i get it looking and running good i might sell it lol
