Well, I finally got the bike back together and here is the final product, sans a front fender (on order)...
Put fluids in, gased it up, and tried to start it. First kick, a hint of life, all kicking after that, nothing. :bang: Smelled a lot of gas. Pulled the plug and dry as a bone. Checked spark, spark good. Noticed a lot of gas collecting just under the reed valve manifold. Figured I must've forgot to put the gasket on, and after researching the parts diagram, I found that there is no gasket between the case and the reed manifold... Haven't pulled the manifold out yet, but I'm assuming maybe I didn't shave the main crankcase gasket down enough and it's causing a slight leak where the reed manifold seats on the case. Think that's the problem?
Brian.
