99 KDX 220R Cases

I am looking for 99 KDX 220R cases. My piston shattered and cracked my left case in the crank area. The area appears to be in a casting space and just a hairline crack. Question?? Can I just have it welded and machined? Is there any compression buildup below the piston in the crank area?? :|
