My 99 kx125 doesn't want to start. I've checked everything obvious, it has good spark, new spark plug that is getting gas. air filter is fine. It isn't flooded (I've tried different techniques to make sure). It has recently mixed gas in the same ratio as i have always used it.

The last time i had it started was about 2 months ago, and it ran perfectly during a full day of riding.

I also hooked it up to the back of a polaris ranger and tried to pull start it with no luck.

I was hoping to go riding tomorow (last chance this year) so any help will be appriciated.

Feel free to ask any questions.

carb is getting gas or cylinder is getting gas?? Did you use the choke properly? Perhaps your pilot jet is clogged. I usually start with a good carb cleaning.

its possible that its clogged, yes i used choke correctly, i need to check to make sure on the carb getting gas and cylinder getting gas. Although when I kick it over if I open up the throttle the engine makes a lot more noise and sounds as though its getting gas in it.

Everything seems ok but it just wont fire

You can actually hear the gas going into the cylinder?

Man you have a good ear.

Pull the plug after trying to start it, if it's wet, it's getting gas, if it's bone dry, it's most likely a problem with the pilot jet or the float valve..

Have you tried leaning the bike over on it's side for a minute to see if the float bowl overflows?
